Health and Safety Policy Statement

The Health, Safety and Welfare of employees and the general public is of prime importance to the Company and is essential to the efficient operation of its undertaking.
The Company will take all reasonably practicable precautions to ensure the health, safety and welfare at work of its employees and others who may be affected by the Company’s work activities by providing:
(a) A safe working environment by the design, operation and maintenance of all equipment and facilities.
(b) Safe systems of work and a safe working environment
(c) Adequate instruction, information, training and supervision
(d) Control of situations likely to cause individual injury or damage to property/ equipment
(e) Effective facilities for the treatment of injuries, which occur at work
(f) Effective fire prevention and fire control procedure
(g) Adequate facilities for consultation between management and employee representatives.
(h) Regular monitoring of those systems provided to ensure the required standards of health and safety are achieved and maintained.
The overall responsibility for the Company’s safety policy is vested in the Managing Director. From this it follows that the execution of this policy is a matter for all sectors of management. The Company therefore delegates responsibility and the necessary authority to each Director and Senior Manager or Head of Department to ensure the policy is adopted, understood and implemented. In addition to the authority vested on these individuals a specific Safety Board will convene on regular basis to formally monitor the overall health & safety compliance and recommend and implement any necessary remedial actions to enable improved compliance.
The Company expects employees to conform to this policy, which will be reviewed on a regular basis, and to comply with the relevant sections of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. They will be specifically expected to exercise all reasonable care for their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions.
The Company will also give full backing to the Health and Safety Manager whose function it shall be to monitor and operate the policy, and will support all others who endeavour to carry it out.
