Ogilvie Construction has broken ground on a new development at Fraser Path in Arbroath that will deliver 20 new high quality affordable homes for Angus Council.
The £4.9 million project will provide a mix of properties designed to meet local needs, with a strong focus on accessibility and modern living standards. The development is being supported by Scottish Government funding through the Affordable Housing Supply Programme (AHSP), with grant funding of £2.1 million contributing to delivery.
Angus Council, Housing convener, Councillor Jill Scott, said: “The Fraser Path site will become a high-quality development of flats and cottages, including sought-after one-bedroom homes and will support better outcomes for tenants while responding to current housing challenges.”
David Mason, Operations Director, Tayside and North of Scotland, Ogilvie Constriction added: “We are proud to be working with Angus Council to deliver high quality energy efficient homes at Fraser Path.”
The new homes have been designed with high levels of insulation and energy efficiency and are due for completion in November 2027.
